哲理小故事

一天晚上，一群游牧部落的牧民正准备安营扎寨休息的时候，忽然被一束耀眼的光芒所笼罩。他们知道神就要出现了。因此，他们满怀殷切地期盼，恭候着来自上苍的重要旨意。

最后，神终于说话了：“你们要沿路多检一些鹅卵石，把他们放在你们的马鞑子里。明天晚上，你们会非常快乐，但也会非常懊悔。”

说完，神就消失了。牧民们感到非常的失望，因为他们原本期盼神能够给他们带来无尽的财富和健康长寿，但没想到神却吩咐他们去做这件毫无意义的事。但是不管怎样，那毕竟是神的旨意，他们虽然有些不满，但是仍旧各自检拾了一些鹅卵石，放在他们的马鞑子里。

就这样，他们又走了一天，当夜幕降临，他们开始安营扎寨时，忽然发现他们昨天放进马鞑子里的每一颗鹅卵石竟然都变成了钻石。他们高兴极了，同时也懊悔极了，后悔没有检拾更多的鹅卵石。

其实，在我们的日常生活、工作、学习中有何尝不是这样呢？有许多眼前看似鹅卵石一样的东西被我们如敝履般地丢弃了，然而，忽然有一天，当我们需要它的时候，它就变成了钻石，而我们却不得不为以前丢弃它而懊悔不迭。

曾几何时，我胸怀大志，渴望在苍穹中一展雄姿，经历岁月的洗礼，多了几丝酸楚，却依旧微笑面对；曾几何时，我意气风发，盼望在信合的天空下展翅高飞，品尝基层的辛苦，除顿悟大鹏展翅须脚踏实地外，还懂得要笑对他人。

人生其实正如一场梦，重要的不是这个梦有多长，而是我们应该如何面对。愁也一天，喜也一天，为何不能笑着面对？人或许如那浩瀚大海中颠簸的小船，也许要遇到隐藏的暗礁，或是突如其来的狂风骤浪，或是风平浪静，只要保持一份淡定、一份从容、一份微笑，必将到达彼岸。

笑对人生，是一份豁达。生活中不如意事十之八九，不应一味的抱怨，应学着微笑面对，那么生活将还你五彩斑斓；工作中或许有些小磨擦，不要去责怪他人，笑对他人，相信你的微笑会使凝结的空气瞬间变得流畅，而不久的将来他人也会还你同样甜蜜的笑容；人生的低谷也罢、高峰也好，你要做的不是想的太多、要的太多，而做的是摆正位置，拿出真正的豁达，不必把一时的得失看的太重，更不必把别人一句无意的话当成有意的话，自寻烦恼和痛苦。

笑对人生，要真正快乐。每个人都想快乐，都想得到幸福，但期望往往太高而适得其反。人，快乐不是他拥有很多，而是他计较的少，多是一种负担，是一种失去；少不是不足，而是另一种有余。为何追求那虚渺的梦而忘记了沿途的风景？想拥有快乐，就要学着做减法，卸下过重的负担，去掉沉重的行礼，赤脚在无际的天空，畅快地奔跑。

笑对人生，要充满信心。不管外界如何变化，自己心中永远拥有一片宁静的天空。你不能决定生命的长度，但你可以扩展生命的广度；你不能决定他人，但你可以掌握自己；你不能全然预测明天，但你可以充分利用今天；你不能改变天生的面貌，但你可以时时展现动人的笑容；你不能要求事事顺利，但你可以做到事事尽心。

来吧，嘴角微微上扬，给自己一个微笑，给他人一个温暖。

Is Failure a Bad Thing

Failure is a common thing in our daily life. As students, we sometimes fail to get high scores in our exams. When we play games, we might be beaten by others. And there are times when we fail to do work well. All these failures happen naturally and almost every one of us has such experiences.

However, there are different attitudes towards failure. Some people lose heart when they fail; they think the world is at its end. Some people don't take failure seriously but just let it be, while some others learn much from failure, and therefore see the light of hope through failure.

In my opinion, what is really important is not failure itself, but what we think of failure and what we do after failure. As long as we don't give up, keeping believing in ourselves, and at the same time learn something from failure, we'll certainly make our mark in the end. So I am never afraid of failure, for I believe that failure is not a bad thing. Rather, “Failure is the mother of success.”

失败是坏事吗？

失败在我们的日常生活中很常见。作为学生，我们有时在考试中得不到高分。在我们和其他人比赛时，有时会输。还有的时候，我们总做不好事情。所有这些失败都很自然，我们每一个人都有类似的经历。

然而，面对失败人们的态度却截然不同。一些人失败后变得灰心丧气，似乎世界末日到了；一些人不拿失败当回事儿，听之任之；还有一些人却从失败中学习东西，从而从失败中能看到希望。

在我看来，重要的不是失败本身，而是我们对待失败的态度和失败之后我们的行动。只要我们不放弃，相信自己，并从失败中汲取营养，我们最后一定会取得胜利。因此，我从不害怕失败，因为我相信失败并不是坏事。相反，“失败是成功之母”。

The Olympic Games, or Olympics, are an international multi-sport event taking place every four years and comprising summer and winter games. Beginning in 776 BC, they were originally held in Olympia, Greece until 393 AD. In 1896, they were revived by a French nobleman, Pierre Frèdy, Baron de Coubertin, thus beginning the era of the Modern Olympic Games. The Summer Olympics (Games of the Olympiad) have been held every fourth year starting in 1896, except in 1916, 1940, and 1944 due to the World Wars. Greece and Australia are the only nations to have attended every Summer Olympics. An event specifically for winter sports, the Olympic Winter Games, was first held in 1924. The first winter Olympics competitions were held as a non-Olympic sports festival, but were declared to be official Games by the International Olympic Committee in 1925. Originally these were held in the same year as the Summer Olympics, but from 1994 (the Lillehammer Games) the Winter Games and the Summer Games have been held two years apart. Keep in mind that the Summer Olympics are more prominent and anticipated than the Winter Olympics.
