在成长的道路上，我们总会遇到大大小小的困难，有些人在选择了退缩，有些人却在逆境中成长。而《小公主》的主人公萨拉就是一位在逆境中成长的坚强女孩。

萨拉全名萨拉。克鲁，出生于一个富有的英国驻印度青年军官家庭，过着丰衣足食的生活。她不但心地善良，而且通情达理。11岁时，父亲意外死亡，家道中落。她的命运从此发生了重大的变故：从学校里享受优厚待遇“特殊生”沦落成为了干杂活的“小苦力”，受尽欺凌和苦难。但是，面对这突如其来的变故，萨拉没有向命运低头，而是凭着自己丰富的想象力和宽广的胸襟乐观积极的面对惨淡的人生。这是多么的令人敬佩啊！

萨拉之所以被人们称为“小公主”，不是因为她拥有万贯家财，过着公主一般的生活，而是因为她拥有一颗纯真、善良、仁慈的公主之心，还有在那面对逆境时始终如一的勇气！
