其次是培养兴趣。除了动机以外，兴趣也很重要。有些学生总觉得学习英语很难，全是些单词，句子，所以总是一提到英语就头晕目眩，退而避之，从而形成了一种对英语的排斥心理。其实，正如我们在玩耍时会发现其中一些有趣之处一样，当我们对英语有了一定程度的了解后，也能从中找到有趣的地方。例如读英语单词时，你会发现每一个单词都可以找到独特的记忆方式吸引着你将它熟记于心，而当你上课、走在马路上或是看电视时，那些你已经熟记的单词此刻就会一一涌现在你的脑海里。因此建议，将所学的英语词汇与日常生活联系起来，多用心去发现隐含在其中的趣味，这将会使你更有动力地投入到原本看似枯燥的英语学习中去。

最后是技巧。当然，勤奋的同时，技巧也同样重要。就拿背单词来说，很多学生会觉得很吃力，其实原因在于他们尚未找到记忆词汇的高效方法。词汇记不牢的情况有二：一是忘记拼写和读音；二是尽管记得单词，却忘记中文意思。能同时解决以上两个问题的方法：把几个新单词组成一个句子，然后反复背读这个句子。由于句子是自己造的，所以很容易记忆。既然句子记住了，里面新单词的读音也就掌握了，由此就能根据读音掌握拼写，同时新单词的中文意思及用法也容易从句子中得知。又如将学过的单词贴在相对应的物品上，每天使用时都可以看到，想到，说到，这样也有助于帮助记忆单词……其实在学习过程中注意总结技巧也是别有一番趣味的。
