There was a young flower in the desert where all was dry and sad looking It was growing by itself enjoying every day and saying to the sun ,When shall I be grown up? And the sun would say Be patient .Each time I touch you， you grow a little. She was so pleased because she would he a chance to bring beauty to this corner of sand. And this is all she wanted to do - bring a little bit of beauty to this world.

One day the hunter came by and stepped on her. She was going to die and she felt so sad. Not because she was dying , but because she would not he a chance to bring a little bit of beauty to this corner of the desert.

The great spirit saw her， and was listening. - Indeed， he said She should be living. And he reached down and touched her , and ge her life.

And she grew up to be a beautiful flower and this corner of the desert became so beautiful because of her.

Dear teacher and schoolmates,1ts a great pleasure for me to be today and share my experience of learning English with you.Im interested in English and hope to be an interpreter in the future.Naturally lts very important for me to learn English well .As everybody knows vocabular is an important part of language, just like bricksin a building .I usually memorize twenty new words a day and put them to use whenever possible . After class.I often listen to English programs on TV and on the radio .Besides ,Ive learned a lot from the Inter and other sources.

Now.Id like to make some suggestions on English teaching and learning in our school.Firstly ,we should be given more opportunities to use what weve learned ln order to he a better grasp of it.Secondly.I hope our teachers can remend more interesting books and magazines and give us more free time to read them. Finally，1 suggest we he more Endish activities，such as English contests and festivals.
