1.Our First Day in Winter Holiday Our First Day in Winter Holiday The winter holiday began today. The Spring Festival will come soon. So my sister and I decided to help our mother to clean the room. In the afternoon we began the cleaning. We first dusted the walls. The walls turned white soon, but the tables and floor were covered with dust. Then I cleaned the tables while my sister swept the floor. The room became bright and clean. We were very happy. Then my sister did some washing. With my help, my sister first washed clothes, then some shoes. Finally, we finished the work. ＂What time is it now?＂ she asked. ＂Oh, it's six o'clock! It is time for Mum to come home. We must prepare the supper. Be quick!＂ I said. Just then our mother came in. When she saw the room clean and bright she was very happy. ＂You are my good daughters!＂ she said with a smile on her face. Now I was very tired, but I was very happy, because I had done something tbr my mother. 2 Getting Up Early Is a Good Habit Getting up early is a good habit. It is very important to our health, our study, our life and so on. First, getting up early helps to keep us strong. We can do morning exercises in the open air in the morning and breathe fresh air to build our bodies. Second, getting up early helps us to memorize what we have learned in class by reading aloud in the morning. Third, getting up early can help us to find enough time to prepare our work of the day. If we stick to getting up early every day, it will do us a lot of good. 3 My Hobbies I have many hobbies, such as sports, singing, playing the violin and keeping a diary.In school, I often hear the P.E. teacher say, sports do good to one's health, and will make one live longer. So, I like sports very much. I go running at five o'clock in the morning, and after classes in the afternoon. I play pingpong with my friends. These sports have kept me healthy.At home, I like to sing and play the violin. I hope I will be a singer and a violinist when I grow up. In order to attain these goals,I go to the teacher's home for a lesson every Saturday, and practise singing and playing the violin every day. Busy as I am, I am quite happy.Of all my hobbies I like reading books best. In my bedroom there are nearly six hundred books. There are story books, textbooks, magazines, and others.
