This isn't an oral test as it sounds. You're supposed to give a brief presentation concerning how you deal with the learning or teaching material like a text.

A usual or normal presentation lasts for 40 to 45 minutes, the length of a class varies from place to place.

Nonetheless, you aren't expected to give a full presentation but part of it.

So yours just lasts 10 to 15 minutes, which actually is a miniature of a full class.

In the presentation process, your teaching should cover the main points without digging into details of the learning material.

The main points should involve the teaching objective(s), how you reach your objective(s), the main language points and difficult points together with the teaching methods how you have your targets reached.

You won't be able to deal with everything as you do in a usual class with the length of time available to you .

The main purpose of the presentation isn't to see how you give a full class but to see the basic qualities or abilites in a candidate as a would-be teacher. The panel of the judges would make their assessment of your skills based on your performance in the stated time.

The above are the major points you should take into account before and during your making lesson plan.

Next, my way of teaching.

Teaching English at primary schools aims at students' basic skills in listening and speaking and the their interest in English. So I find it necessary to design a task-based class: students will be assigned to do a survey. This task will make it possible for the students to pick up the language in an authentic way. Teaching aids: a recorder, sentences cards , stationary ,pictures, head ornaments and a form. I shall have the students join in the singing, ridding guessing and doing a survey .

During the procedure of my teaching, multi-media, over head project, tape recorder, pictures will surely be adopted that will also be accompanied by demonstration, role-playing, task-oriented approach.
