The giraffe is an African even-toed ungulate mammal, the tallest of all land-living animal species. Males can be 4.8 to 5.5 metres tall and weigh up to 1,360 kilograms. The record-sized bull was 5.87 m tall and weighed approximately 2,000 kg. Females are generally slightly shorter and weigh less than the males do.
The giraffe is related to deer and cattle, but is placed in a separate family, the Giraffidae, consisting only of the giraffe and its closest relative, the okapi. Its range extends from Chad to South Africa.

太阳刚出来没一会，天上又开始洒下纷纷扬扬的雪花。它们像柳絮般随风上下翻滚，翩翩起舞，不断地在空中回旋了个够之后，才肯落在温暖的土地上，一点一点的融化。
在这寒冷的空气中，只有我和几个小伙伴出去玩，但我们却总想玩出些新创意。“哦，有了。”我大叫。我们来玩拉雪橇吧。我们说干就干，先找来两块木板，再找两根绳子，经过不停地系绳子和剪绳子，终于做好了。我们都坐了上去，由一个力气很大的人来拉，她们用力一拉，那块木板就分别在这两个人在光滑的冰面上一直向前方滑去。“糟糕”，我门前面突然出现了一个台阶，那雪橇却怎么停不下来。一声惨叫，大家都人仰马翻的跌到了地上，由于冰给地面穿上了一件厚厚的铠甲，所以人一跌倒就更痛了。大家伙见这个活动有危险性，只好换一个。
雪越下越急，地上的积雪也越来越多。
又有一个人提议说，用雪做东西。我们齐声叫好。不一会儿，一个心灵手巧的人就做好了一个雪雕塑。那是一只憨厚可爱，而又不失大气的龙。那大大的眼睛，仿佛在邀请一和他一起玩。那头上的一对角，又让人觉得十分畏惧。我们都很嫉妒，决心要做一个来超过它。我也不甘示弱，做了一个精美的雪糕点。它是圆形的，边上还有波浪花边，而且表面上还有一颗心，又滴上了色料，就做好了一块欲尝不能的点心。
天边的太阳渐渐落下了，夕阳的金光把雪蒙上了一层金纱，显得格外美丽动人。可是天暗了，表示今天的快乐也结束了。但希望雪不要覆盖了我的作品。
