1.The Spring Festival The Spring festival is the most important festival in China. It is on January 1st according to the Chinese lunar calendar. It's China's New year's Day So usually a month before the festival,people begin to buy food clothes and decorations for houses. On New Year Eve ,each family will gather together eating, talking and watching TV for almost the whole night. The children are the happiest of all because they can get presents from their parents or grand-parents. On Lunar New Year's Day.pepole will eat dumplings. When they meet their neighbours or friends, they'll say;＂Happy New Year!''The New Year celebrating activitise will last about half a month. 2.The most important festival in China is the Spring Festival. It is said that the Spring Festival evolved from an activity known as the Winter Sacrifice. It was a custom practiced by the people of primitive society. The Spring Festival marks the beginning of the Chinese Lunar New Year,so the first meal is rather important. People usually eat Jiaozi or dumplings shaped like a crescent moon on that special day. As for recreational activities during the Sping Festival, the Dragon Dance and Lion Dance are traditionally performed . 3.The Chinese Spng Festival and the Western Christmas-time Every nation has its own folk festivals.Those festivals give people a chance to be away from their regular work and everyday worries to enjoy theselves and to develop kinship and friendship.The Spring Festival is the chief holiday in China while Christmas is the most important red-letter day in the western world. The Sping Festival and Christmas have much in common.Both are prepared beforehand to create a joyous atmosphere;both offer a family reunion with asquare feast;and both satisfy the childeen with new clothes,loverly presents and delicious food.However,the Chinese Spring festival has no religious backgroind while Christmas has something to do with God and there is Santa Claus with white beard to bring children presents.The westerners send each other Christmas cards for greetings while the Chinese people pay a call on each other. nowadays,some of the Chinese youth has begun to celebeate Christmas,following the example of the westerners.Perhaps they do so just for fun and out of curiosity. 希望对你有帮助

There are all kinds of food, like French food, Asian food, Californian food, Pennsylvanian food, Louisianan food, etc. In the USA there are four time zones, while in Britain, there is only one time zone. My favourite holiday is Spring Festival. It is the most popular holiday in China. It's in January or Febrary. People usually eat a lot of delicious food and visit their relatives and friends. Of course it the happiest for us children or students as we can get a lot of presents and red packet money.

Besides, we can have a good time and relax ourselves.

I like Spring Festival very much.
