PY职业年简介
职业年Professional Year是澳洲政府为提高技术类别移民的专业技能和工作能力、更多了解澳洲职场环境、增强实习和工作经验而设立的一项专业培训项目，会给学员们提供从面试技巧、职场文化、公司实习等多方面的培训与实践，通过PY职业年课程来帮助国际学生能尽快融入自己的专业领域，从而完成从学校到职场的转换。职业年课程是一组以实践为主的非常实用的课程项目。 职业年课程目前仅开设了会计、工程和计算机三个专业的课程。
另外报读职业年还有一个很重要的作用，报读PY是留学生毕业后申请技术移民的有效加分途径，在移民加分方面可以拿到Skill Migration Points Test中宝贵的5分加分。没有通过考试或认证才能加分之类的限制，课程也不是很贵，上课时间灵活，通常只是在晚上或周末上课，不耽误大家做其他的工作，而且所学课程也是跟澳洲求职和职场文化、实习工作紧密相关，能增加澳洲本地公司的相关实习和工作经历。
因此职业年课程一直是众多同学较为有效的移民加分途径。这样同学们一方面提前了解了澳洲本地职场环境、增加了实习工作经验、为职业生涯的开启积蓄了力量的同时，又能够拿到移民加分。
