我不太清楚怎样的短文适合高中生，就发一篇我以前读过的短文吧。 Nothing to worry about The rough road across the plain soon became so bad that we tired to get Bruce to ddrive back to the village we had come from. Even thought the road was littered with boulders and pitted with holes, Bruce ws not in the least perturbed. Glancing at his map, he informed us that the next village was a mere twenty miles away. It was not that Bruce always underestimated difficulties. He simply had no sense of danger at all. No matter the conditions were, he believed that a car should be driven as fast as it could possibly go. As we bumped over the dusty track, we swerved to avoid large boulders. The wheels scooped up stones which hammered ominously under the car. We felt sure that sooner or later a stone would rip a hole in our petrol tank or damage the engine. Because of this, we kept looking back, wondering if we were leaving a trail of oil and petrol behind us. What a relief it was when the boulders suddenly disappeared, giving way to a stretch of plain where the only obstacles were clomps of bushes. But there was worse to come. Just ahead of us there was a huge fissure. In response to renewed pleadings, Bruce stopped. Though we all got out to examine he fissure, he remained in the car. We informed him that the fissure extended for fifty yards and was two feet wide and four feet deep. Even this had no effect. Bruce went into a low gear and drove at a terrifying speed, keeping the front wheels astride the crack as he followed its zigzag course. Before we had time to worry about what might happen, we were back on the plain again. Bruce consulted the map once more and told us that the village was now only fifteen miles away. Our next obstacle was a shallow pool of water about half a mile across. Bruce charged at it, but in the middle, the car cae to a grinding halt. A yellow light on the dashboard flashed angrily and Bruce cheerfully announced that there was no oil in the engine！希望能帮得上忙~

In many cases, psychopaths always refuse to be given medication. No one can deny that it is disbeneficial to them,but the problem is not so simple.We must realize that the enforced behavior against the respondent's will ,such as injection of mind-altering drugs ,is highly offensive to their dignity and autonomy. To some sufferers, the word ＂normal＂ is so boring,they really hate this,and I have to say that they also own the right to stand on their dignity!

As a final comment, I should say that no matter how terrible the people may be, they should be entitled to make decision and there is on doubt that prejudice should be avoided in society.

疯狂英语啊，英语沙龙啊这些都可以。你去报亭那里有一堆。试试看看什么适合你。我喜欢去沪江网，那里有英语的，如果你上人人网还有四六级的公共主页。要有提前意识，有空就看看这些，帮助很大。多去书店看看么。

我以前喜欢看疯狂英语原声版，那个就像杂志，不过有很多那种描写的文章，写作文很有用。

其实不用特别找什么，到了高中学完了英语语法就基本没的了么，有时候学校订的什么英语周报的阅读你只要仔仔细细看都可以找到很多真的很好的句子。

不过看这些杂志，看你的要求，觉得你看，头可能会很烦，因为你说你可能看不懂，就会不停看中文，后头可能干脆要么看中文要么就不看了。既然要看英语杂志，你手边必须放的是一本牛津字典，多翻翻字典，查到的生词，除非你真的记忆力很好，我觉得你不可能背完。一切只是一个积累过程，慢慢来。

针对作文，你就注意一下句型，建议你英文中文同时勾画。切记，不要太花！太花了你找不到重点。多利用周围的空处，贴贴小纸条，书面稍稍整洁会让你有看下去的欲望。
