涉外律师需要英语好

律师是个必须不断学习的职业，学习应该成为律师的生活方式。对立志要做“涉外律师”的律师，要求更高，掌握英语是从事涉外法律服务律师必须具备的条件。笔者认为，用“四年时间培养300名具有国际眼光、精通涉外法律业务的高素质律师人才”任重道远，因为学贯中西的“大家”从来就不可能被培养出来。笔者认为，“涉外律师自身素养不够”表现有多方面，英语素养（英语水平不高）是瓶颈问题，虽然英语同涉外法律服务还不能划等号。英语是一个基础性的问题，中国律师其实缺乏通过英语学习专业（法律）知识（通过仲裁庭审是更高层的学习）的过程。笔者认为，如果中国律师还在谈英语学习则离“具有国际眼光、精通涉外法律业务的高素质律师人才”还有相当的距离。
