Food Safety in China

With the growing awareness of healthy eating, more and more people now are paying more attention to the importance of healthy diet and an active life. But at the same time, a growing unrest over food safety in China has caught everyone's concern.

In my opinion ,everyone involved in it should set up a high responsibility for others, law related should be passed and carried out. Only in this way can we come by a healthy eating and a harmonious world.

A couple of days ago,one of my classmates bought a bag of food from a supermarket. Some roommates were invited to enjoy the food. Unfortunately,after finishing it,all of them got poisoned and had stomachaches with their faces pale. They were quickly sent to a nearby hospital. A doctor examined them and gave them some medicine. They were out of danger soon after taking the medicine.

This accident made me realize the seriousness of the food safety problem. I sincerely hope that the whole society pay much more attention to food safety.

It is known to all that safety issue is always the top concern in people because life is the most important thing. Despite the advance of technology, there are a variety of safety problems including high level of crime rate, poor quality and safety control in food manufacturing and so on. Among these matters, the food safety issue is considered most.

Two major factors contribute to the existing of food safety problems. First of all, huge profit can be gained by cutting the expenditures on supervising the food production, thus leading to unsafe produce of food. For example, the workers may not wear gloves during the process. Secondly, the best interest can be obtained by replacing the essential ingredient with other cheap synthesized chemical substance.

As a result, some actions should be taken to solve these potential problems. To begin with, the surveillance system may be enhanced to prohibit the unsafe producing of food. In addition, a slight elevation in price of chemical substance may help prevent the manufacturer being tempt to substitute the original ingredient.
